Bison 2′ x 2′ FSC 100% Ipê Wood Tile – Smooth

The Bison 2′ x 2′ FSC® 100% Ipê Wood Tile – Smooth is a commercial-grade decking solution crafted from responsibly harvested, Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) certified Ipê hardwood.

This certification ensures adherence to global standards for forest sustainability, contributing to LEED points and SITES criteria. The tile features a smooth surface composed of eight planks, each measuring approximately 23.875" x 23.875" x 1.69" (606 x 606 x 43 mm), and weighs 24 lbs (10.9 kg), equating to 6 pounds per square foot (29.3 kg/m²).

Ipê wood is renowned for its exceptional density and durability, with a Janka hardness rating of 3,680 lbf (16.4 kN), and meets Class A fire rating standards, exceeding ASTM E108-07a Class A Spread of Flame Test requirements. Over time, the wood naturally develops a silvery-gray patina; however, periodic cleaning and sealing can maintain its original brown hue. Bison wood tiles weather over time, developing a silvery-gray patina. If maintaining the natural wood color is desired, wood tiles can be periodically cleaned and sealed.
