Maibec Not Stained Stainless Steel Ringed Nails are crafted to secure the installation of Maibec siding and trims and provide superior corrosion resistance. Designed to endure harsh weather conditions, especially in coastal areas, these nails offer exceptional durability and holding power. They are available in 2" and 3" lengths and feature a ring shank for enhanced grip and a textured head for a secure fit.
Each length is packaged to meet various project needs:
- 2" Nails: Approximately 105 nails per pound
- 3" Nails: Approximately 67 nails per pound
These stainless steel nails come unstained, allowing flexibility to match any siding colour during installation. Suitable for both hand nailing and pneumatic nailers, they are ideal for various siding projects where long-lasting performance is key.
A ringed nail (also known as a ring-shank nail) has small circular ridges or rings along its shaft. These rings increase the nail's holding power by creating more friction between the nail and the material it is driven into, making it much more resistant to being pulled out compared to smooth-shank nails.

Installation System
Maibec regular siding is installed using Maibec’s hot-dipped zinc galvanized ring shank nails with textured heads, pre-stained at the factory to seamlessly match the siding color. To maintain a flawless finish, it’s essential to order these nails along with your siding. For best results, use a hammer cap during installation to protect the stain on the nail heads from damage.

When installing Maibec siding and mouldings in coastal areas*, using unstained stainless steel grade 316 ring shank nails is mandatory. Failure to follow this guideline will result in the warranty being voided.
Coastal areas are defined as locations within 600 meters (2,000 feet) of the coastline in the following regions: Atlantic Canada (New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador), Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, and the U.S. East Coast states.
